Competition
The EUSA European University Rowing Championship 2026 will bring together top university rowers from across Europe for an exciting and highly competitive event in Zagreb, Croatia. From August 26th to 29th, 2026, athletes will compete on the iconic Lake Jarun, known for its excellent rowing conditions and long tradition of hosting major regattas.

Competition Format
The EUSA European University Rowing Championship 2026 will feature men’s, women’s and mixed boat classes, following official EUSA and World Rowing competition rules.
Race categories
BLOCK A:
W8+, LM2X, LW1X, M4-, M4X, W2-, W1X, M2-, M2X, W/M8+
BLOCK B:
LM1X, LW2X, W4X, LM2-, M1X, W/M 4X, W4-, W2X, M8+
*For the first time ever: W/M 8+ (Each mixed crew must consist of 50% men and 50% women from the same university.)

Venue
All races will take place at Lake Jarun in Zagreb, a modern international-standard regatta course offering excellent racing conditions, a 2000 m competition lake with six lanes, and a long history of hosting major rowing events.

Training at Jarun
Teams can use the training area at Lake Jarun to prepare for the competition and get familiar with the course.
Practice times:
- Wednesday: 08:00–17:00
- Thursday: 07:30–09:00
- Friday: 07:30–09:00 and 12:00–17:00
- Saturday: 07:30–09:00
The control weight for athletes and boat weighing will be available during the practice times.

Social Events
The championship is not only about competition — it is also an opportunity to connect, celebrate and create lasting memories. During the week, participants will have the chance to enjoy social events at Hugo’s Bar, located across from the Athlete’s Village „Stjepan Radić“.
- Following the Opening Ceremony, the Organizing Committee will host a party at Hugo’s Bar, which will also be open daily throughout the championship.
- Goodbye Party: The championship will conclude with a Goodbye Party at Hugo’s Bar, bringing everyone together to celebrate the week, their achievements and the new friendships made along the way.
