The European Universities Rowing Championship 2026 will once again bring the spirit of university sport to Zagreb, Croatia. From August 25–30, student-athletes from across Europe will gather at Lake Jarun to compete, connect and celebrate excellence both on and off the water. After the highly praised 2024 edition, Zagreb is ready to deliver another memorable and professionally organised event.

The 2026 Championship continues as a standalone event, as rowing is not included in this year’s European Universities Games in Salerno, Italy.
Supported by the Zagreb Academic Sports Federation (ZASF) and a strong local rowing community, Zagreb is set to welcome university rowers from across the continent for another high-level competition.
Venue
All competition and training sessions will take place at Lake Jarun, one of Croatia’s most important rowing venues. Known for its calm waters, internationally recognised regatta course, and scenic surroundings, Lake Jarun provides excellent conditions for athletes and an enjoyable experience for spectators. As a regular host of national and international rowing events, the venue offers everything needed for smooth and successful racing.

Accommodation
The championship is committed to ensuring a comfortable stay for all participants. Athletes and officials will be accommodated primarily at the Student Dormitory Stjepan Radić, conveniently located with straightforward access to Lake Jarun and other event facilities. The EUSA European University Rowing Championship is about more than just the competition. Participants will also have the opportunity to enjoy social and educational activities that foster interaction and learning:

Welcome and Goodbye Parties: Held at Caffe & Lounge Bar Roko, near the Student Dormitory, offering a relaxed environment to meet fellow athletes and celebrate the event.
